Alex has taught a variety of courses as both an Instructor and Teaching Assistant, including: American Federal Government, State & Local Politics, The Presidency, Introduction to Public Administration, and Rhetoric & Academic Research. His teaching interests also include Congress, American Political Development, American Political Thought, Public Policy, Political Theory, and Qualitative Methods.

He has also helped Dr. Larry Dodd develop syllabi for the following graduate level courses: The Legislative Process, American Legislative Development, Scope and Epistemologies of Political Science, and Two Party Democracy in America.
